Aerzen Process Gas GmbH: process gas expertise from a single source

A global solutions provider with combined expertise and in-depth knowledge of technology and systems for demanding process gas applications

Aerzen Process Gas GmbH is a wholly-owned subsidiary of AERZEN and the specialist for the conveying and compression of process gases within the AERZEN Group. The company supports operators and system manufacturers with customised engineering and delivers process gas solutions for industrial applications – ranging from state-of-the-art compressor technology to integrated, turnkey plant systems.

Process gas compressors are a key technology in many industrial processes which place high requirements on availability, efficiency and process stability.
As an experienced industry partner, AERZEN has a thorough understanding of the challenges specific to each application and provides customer-specific system solutions for virtually all process gases, gaseous mixtures, applications and sectors. References from around the world attest to their high reliability in demanding fields of application.

Combined expertise in the conveying and compression of process gases
Since January 2026, the company has been consolidating its process gas expertise within Aerzen Process Gas GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AERZEN. The integration of Emmerthaler Apparatebau GmbH and GPE Turbo expands the range of services and increases our technological and systems expertise. Whether it’s blowers, compressors or turbochargers, modifications and accessories, the manufacture of reservoirs, piping and silencers or packages: Aerzen Process Gas GmbH offers all of these from a single source. This combined expertise and high level of innovation reduces interface complexity, enables the end-to-end implementation of complex plant solutions and thus shortens project lead times. All solutions are tailored individually to the specific process conditions. The credo: it’s not the machine that determines the process – it’s the process that determines the machine.

Portfolio for the process gas industry
AERZEN blowers, compressors and turbochargers bring together know-how and experience gained from more than 160 years of technological expertise. They stand for reliable product quality, efficiency and process reliability, as well as reduced capital and operating costs. The product range of Aerzen Process Gas GmbH comprises rotary piston, screw and turbine technology for pressures of up to 300 bar and volume flows of up to 350,000 m³/h. The positive displacement blowers achieve a differential pressure of 2 bar at a maximal working pressure of 25 bar a, as well as volume flows of up to 104,000 m³/h. The screw compressors cover pressures up to 25 bar and volume flows up to 75,000 m³/h. The turbo compressors are suitable for pressures of up to 300 bar and volume flows of up to 350,000 m³/h. They are available in a wide variety of types of construction, sizes and special designs for almost all gases, and are used in both onshore and offshore applications. All relevant international
rules, building regulations or specifications of various industries or acceptance organisations are complied with.

Optimised availability for the most demanding industrial applications
AERZEN process gas machines are rated for continuous operation and will run for decades with minimal maintenance costs. They are at home in all key industrial applications and ensure reliability and cost-effective production processes. Typical applications include compression, conveying, recirculation and recovery of process gases and gaseous mixtures, as well as pressure boosting, for example in the chemical and petrochemical industries, in refineries, coking plants and steelworks, in power generation, industrial gas production, the refrigeration industry, helium cooling and liquefaction, and in oil and gas transport.

Expertise in process gas applications
Whether it’s optimisation, modernisation or new system construction: Aerzen Process Gas GmbH embodies the highest level of expertise in process gas technology and sets the standard in demanding industrial applications.
